Delighted with the coverage and press we got for our little promo video we shot for the lovely guys at Blarney Castle. As part of our regular monthly series of work with the landmark attraction, we put together a little teaser of whats on offer down in Cork.
The purpose of the video would be to showcase not just the castle itself but the wonderful acres of gardens and nature that surround the famous landmark. As seen in the video, at the top of the castle lies the Stone of Eloquence, better known as the Blarney Stone. Tourists visiting Blarney Castle can hang upside-down over a sheer drop to kiss the stone, which is said to give the gift of eloquence. Needless to say we’ve kissed the stone numerous times!!!
Extensive gardens surround the castle. There are paths touring the grounds with signs pointing out the various attractions such as several natural rock formations which have been given fanciful names, such as Druid’s Circle, Witch’s Cave and the Wishing Steps. The grounds also include a Poison Garden which hosts a number of poisonous plants, including wolfsbane, mandrake, ricin, opium and cannabis!
Since posting the video last week, its clock up over 250,000 views on social media with the likes of Tourism Ireland sharing it on their page.
